ACG Pharma

Creating two animation pieces for a major CSR film, under pressure, without compromising the quality of the final film.

Overview

ACG Pharma is a major name in India. Nolook Studio collaborated on a CSR film, contributing two animation pieces designed to work seamlessly with the live-action film.

The Challenge

The film had already been shot, with an established visual style and a tight delivery timeline. Our work had to fit naturally into what was already created, while meeting a high standard of quality under significant time pressure.

The Approach

We worked closely with the director and treated the existing film as the starting point rather than trying to impose a separate visual style. The goal was simple: understand what the film needed and make the animation feel like it belonged there. We created two distinct pieces while keeping quality consistent across both.

The Outcome

Both pieces were delivered within the demanding timeline and integrated into the final film. The quality of the animation received strong praise, particularly given the pressure and constraints of the project.

Using sketches from one of ACG's CSR water projects, we developed a 3D animation that brought the project to life within the film. It required translating the original sketches into a polished visual while maintaining the quality expected from the wider production.

The second piece used map animation to move from a wider view into specific villages, helping establish where ACG's CSR efforts were taking place. The animation was designed to communicate that journey clearly without disrupting the film's visual flow.

Takeaway

Good collaboration isn't always about having creative control. Sometimes it's about understanding an existing vision and making your part of it better.
